HOW THIS IS DIFFERENT
Therapy with Shabnam Lee vs Regular Therapy
This is not one-size-fits-all therapy. Here is how this approach differs and why it creates more lasting change

THE METHODS
Mind, body and relationship.
All six methods work together.
An integrative, holistic approach that works across your inner world, your nervous system and your relationships.
Not one lens. The full picture.
Internal Family Systems
Works with the parts of you in conflict. The perfectionist, the inner critic, the one that shuts down.
Relational Life Therapy
Direct, honest work on how you relate to yourself and others. Confronts patterns with compassion.
Brainspotting
Reaches what is held in the body and nervous system. The things talk therapy alone cannot shift.
Acceptance and Commitment
Helps you stop fighting your own experience and move toward what actually matters to you.
Gottman Method
Research- based tools for couples. Understanding conflict patterns, building friendship and trust.
Perinatal Mental Health
Therapy informed by perinatal mental health training. Supportive of mothers across pregnancy, postpartum and early parenthood.
Common questions about
the approach
Do you use all four methods in every session?
Not always. The methods are woven together based on what you specifically need. Some clients work primarily with IFS. Others need Brainspotting to reach what talk therapy cannot. The approach is always tailored to your situation.
I have tried therapy before and it did not work.
Most therapy is designed to help you cope. This is designed to help you change. If previous therapy felt too surface-level or not relevant to the life you are actually living, that is worth paying attention to.
How is this different from coaching?
Coaching works on goals and performance. This work goes deeper into the patterns, parts and relational dynamics that drive how you behave and how you feel. It is therapeutic, not advisory.
Where do I start if I am not sure which pathway is right for me?
Start with a free 15-minute consultation. That conversation will make it clear whether individual therapy, couples work or the retreat format is the right fit - and I will be honest even if that means pointing you elsewhere.
READY WHEN YOU ARE
Not sure where to start?
That’s exactly what the consultation is for.
A free 15-minute conversation. No commitment, no pressure. Just enough time to feel if this feels right.
